JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development) is a program designed and sanctioned by the NAA (National Archery Association) to train youth in the
fun and exciting sport of archery.

"On Target 2k" and "San Francisco Archery -
Pro Shop", are the sponsors of the San Francisco chapter, "Archery San Francisco - JOAD Club". The program is open to youths ages 8 - 18 and meets every Saturday from 9:30 am to 11:00 am for the beginner program, and 11:00 am to 1:00 pm for the Intermediate/Advance program. Our program is held
at the Archery Range in Golden Gate Park,
in San Francisco, California near Ocean Beach.

Requirements for the program are simple: You must be between the ages 8 - 18, be able to shoot an arrow 18 meters, and have a desire to learn how to shoot a bow and arrow.

Future plans for our program includes relocating to the Park Presidio where we hope to establish a clubhouse with an indoor and outdoor range. Our goal is to have a home where we can host competitions against other local/regional/national JOAD clubs. Our ultimate goal and sole purpose, is to train and develop a contingent of future San Francisco representatives that will someday compete and attempt to "Go For The Gold" in future Olympic Games.
